On Saturday, October 17, 2015, KABA-GA will join hundreds of Korean American volunteers in community service.  We will be supporting Trees Atlanta with planting trees to create and expand green spaces for the community.

Trees Atlanta was founded in 1985 to protect and improve Atlanta's urban forest by planting, conserving, and educating the public.

It is important for volunteers to arrive by 8:45 am to sign in and observe the demonstration--only one demonstration will be provided. Volunteers are requested to stay for the entire project. Trees Atlanta will provide all necessary tools and instruction, though volunteers may prefer to bring their own work gloves.

Projects happen rain or shine, so please check the weather before-hand and come prepared. Please be sure to wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes, and sunscreen and bug spray as needed. It is also recommend that volunteers bring drinking water in a reusable container (no one-time-use plastic bottles, please) and possibly a snack as planting trees is hard work!

All ages are welcome but volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian, and all volunteers between the ages of 16 and 17 who are not accompanied by a parent/guardian must have a parent/guardian sign a waiver for them (contact the Trees Atlanta Volunteer Coordinator at 404-681-4896).

Volunteers are also invited to a complimentary BBQ afterwards at Rossie Brundage Park, 350 Autry St., Norcross, GA from 5-8 PM
