NOTE: All volunteers who sign up must also register with Project Open Hand at THIS LINK.

DRESS CODE REQUIREMENTS:

  • No facial piercings
  • No high heels or “open-toed” shoes (no flip-flops or sandals)
  • No shorts
  • Long pants are preferred.  Skirts or dresses must be shin length.
  • No gum or drinks are allowed in the meal packing or kitchen areas
  • No jewelry:  Including rings, earrings, bracelets, or watches (Rings with stones may not be worn)
  • No sleeveless shirts or tank tops (a short sleeve t-shirt is fine)
  • The provided hairnets and beard covers, for facial hair, must be worn in all food prep and meal packaging areas
  • No headphones, ear buds or Bluetooth earpieces may be worn while prepping or packaging meals
  • Make sure to leave all valuables/personal belongings at home or secure them prior to arrival at Open Hand
  •  Due to limited parking, carpooling is recommended for ease and convenience

ABOUT PROJECT OPEN HAND:

Open Hand volunteers package meals, drive meal delivery routes, work with our senior health and wellness programs, and serve in leadership positions.  Without the dedication of each and every one of these incredible people, we simply could not do our very necessary work in our community.
